How the Pecos Lite is Delivered
Pecos Lite's beds are shipped via Fed-Ex directly from Ramblin Wood, the furniture maker in Albuquerque, straight to you. This means your bed is shipped only once, not twice, as it by-passes going to the retailer and instead goes right to you. This lowers costs (reduced shipping costs) and lowers the damage risk. Since it is Fed-Ex you can track the shipment easily.
The box is long, over 6 feet, and heavy, close to 80 pounds but can be moved strategically and carefully by a strong woman or man, or easily moved by two people. If you are moving it solo, we found the easiest and fastest option was opening the box outside on a front porch or hallway and bringing in each of the 3 main parts individually (bed legs, bed frame and slats.)
The bed was nestled tightly in the box and protected by tape in critical areas. Our bed arrived in perfect condition upon opening the box we were greeted with a fresh waft of maple and pine wood aroma.
